Global Plasma Solutions, the leader in Indoor Air Quality, announced today industry-leading ionization testing results, demonstrating a 99.4% reduction rate on a SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) surface strain within 30 minutes. To neutralize the pathogen, Global Plasma Solutions utilized its proprietary needlepoint bipolar ionization, which both removes harmful pathogens from the air, as well as any particulate matter that intensifies the spread of a pathogen. The study was jointly executed with Aviation Clean Air.

In this laboratory study, Aviation Clean Air designed a test to mimic ionization conditions like that of a commercial aircraft’s fuselage. Based on viral titrations, it was determined that at 10 minutes, 84.2% of the virus was inactivated. At 15 minutes, 92.6% of the virus was inactivated, and at 30 minutes, 99.4% of the virus was inactivated.

Sanitizing of Surfaces

Before, during, and after each Private Play visit, we’ll be sanitizing surfaces with an electrostatic sprayer and a bleach solution or Seventh Generation Aerosol Disinfectant, which claims a better than 99.99% effectiveness against bacteria and viruses. The aerosol is non-contact drying within 10 minutes.

I start cleaning the play area during the 3 minute free train ride at the end of the appointment. The five minutes between private play appointments are mainly spent in the play area electrostaticly spraying the bleach solution or aerosol. Then, as the new guests arrive, we ask you to immediately wash hands in our restroom, buying us a little more time cleaning both the rest of the play area and sanitizing the tables used by the previous guests with a bleach solution. The bathroom is then sanitized during your visit as we alternate between our two bathrooms with each guest. In total, we get a good 13 minutes to clean each hour, not including the bathrooms (I do that during the play hour). (Adults- During the play time, we ask that you only choose one place in the cafe to “set up camp”. This decreases the area in the cafe needing to be sanitized between visits. Thank you!)

At night, we set off a hospital grade disinfectant fogger in the middle of the play area that reaches all the nooks and crannies of the play structure.
